29th - 30th November

I got a smog test and oil change, oil change was straight forward, but the smog test ended
up costing me $70 (and that was with a $20 reduction). Man, I'm sure I'd seen a bunch of
test places offering the test for around the $40 mark... Could I find one when I needed
too? Could I bollocks...
22nd - 28th November

I went to the Dentist a couple of times this week, hurt big time! Still if I didn't do something
with those temporary filling I'm sure I would have paid for it in the long run. I've got to wait
a couple of weeks then I get the new crowns. Of course the 25th was Thanksgiving so like
last year we headed over to Chris and Sherri's place. Chris was away again, but Sherri
was there to share the day with us. The food was great and we all had a great day, ended
it all by watching and falling asleep watching The Big Lebowski.
15th - 21st November

We went to see a lawyer today, and hopefully she'll be able to help me get a work visa so
that I can start paying towards our big day next year! She seems okay, I think she thought
we were one of those 'just getting married for a green card people'. I hope we proved that
we're not, but then again I guess the only people that we need to make sure believe us
are the customs guys. I'd hate to not be able to be with Suzanne anymore. We were a bit
overwhelmed by it all, so when we came out and found out Suzanne got a parking ticket
we were a bit upset. On the plus side we adopted a kitten called Lily together, she's a
great little light grey Tabby.
8th - 14th November

We went to Santa Row for a few drink to enjoy Steve K's birthday with everyone, had a
great time, but started to really need a smoke. I gave up smoking on the 1st of November,
so seeing a bunch of people smoking started to give me agro. I also helped Adrienne's
mum do some gardening. I spent most of the day doing it and got a bunch of blisters, still
it was a good work out, I got some beer and a great meal out of it!
1st - 7th November

No Fawkes and the US Presidential elections took place this week, and I couldn’t give a
monkeys about either of them. I was waaaayyy too busy enjoying myself in Hawaii!! 8)
Suzanne and I went to Kauai for most of our trip and then went to Oahu. I’ve got to say,
while Oahu has most nightlife, Kauai is just such a beautiful place (plus Jurassic Park and
Raiders of the Lost Ark where filmed there). Caught a bit of the sun, so I have a slight
brown vibe to my pasty white British skin now. Groovy.
