31st January

Finished tagging all of our photographs, 5278 pictures apparently. It doesn't seem like we
have that many, but I guess we do.
24th - 30th January

Did some audio recording on Tuesday, nothing special but it was fun. So the software is
very cool and I've been scanning and fixing photos all week, I've also started tagging each
image so I know who's in which photos, what the event was and where it was taken. It
makes looking for photos much easier.
17th - 23rd January

I've been playing around with imaging software for the last week, as I have a something
that I'm working on. I've been through pretty much all the major programs that are out
there and checked them out. Adobe Photoshop Elements seems to win all of the major
criteria, so this weekend I popped down to Costco and brought a copy. This will allow me
to update the Gallery page on the site with something much better, or at least that's the
plan... We'll see how the site looks next week shall we... :) Went up to Tahoe again last
weekend and spent the entire day digging all the snow off the decking area at the back of
the cabin. What a nightmare! There was soooo much snow! Still, most of it's gone now so
we don't have to worry about the decking collapsing under the strain.
10th - 16th January

Well Liam departed for home on the 11th and arrived back in blighty safe and sound.
Suzanne and I headed back to Truckee again the next weekend but this time with Dawn
(the daughter of one of Suzanne's friends from Indiana). I must admit, I had a pretty
crappy day skiing. Sugar Bowl was packed and you couldn't move on the kiddy runs
(which I'm still stuck too until I feel comfortable turning). That'll teach us for going up on a
holiday weekend and going to the ski resort which is holding the XGames entries. Oh well,
I guess I'm just going to have to loose more weight and get better at boarding. I might try
going up during the week to get some practice in when there are a lot less people around.
Oh, and my brakes finally crapped out, so that was another $800 plus a few hundred
more for my knackered exhaust pile... :(
3rd - 9th January

More sight seeing for Liam and what I guess will be the best part of Liam's trip,
snowboarding in Tahoe in record levels of snow! It took us 5 hours to get there, get the
keys and get into the cabin. We tried going straight to Alpine Meadows, but the visibility
dropped to around 2 foot and by the time we had crawled there, we decided to turn back.
It turns out this was the best idea as it was closed, Saturday wasn't much better. It was
snowing real bad and we ended up not being able to board at Northstar. Sunday we got
lucky and got a great session in at Sugarbowl, Liam seemed to enjoy himself. He did really
well, much better than I did.
1st - 2nd January

Well we all managed to get some awesome hangovers, and just to make things worse, we
decided to get drunk on New Years Day too! Yes, we're dumb...
