28th February
What can I say, it was a Monday and my arms, shoulder and neck hurt like hell.
What can I say, it was a Monday and my arms, shoulder and neck hurt like hell.
21st - 27th February
I have a job! I started on Tuesday and spent the rest of the week learning the process
and getting myself into to the working mindset. It seems pretty straight forward (and the
pay sucks), but now I can work towards making that situation much better. Sue came over
for dinner and we had a great time. This weekend Adrienne and Laura came up to Tahoe
with us, we had a great time right up to the point where I wiped out and smashed my
should and neck into the floor doing 40+ mph. Laura was doing great, right up to the point
where she stuffed her ankle into an ice wall while traveling a great speed. Basically, we're
both pretty beat up and in pain. Yeah, pain! Anyway, I can kinda move my arms and neck,
nothings broken so it's just a case of healing the bashed muscles. Steve and Angie made
it up this weekend too, but they're weren't crap and didn't hurt themselves. Minus injuries,
we all had a great time.

14th - 20th February
So, Monday and Tuesday's snowboarding runs were great! I think I finally managed to put
together a few turns and figure out what I've not been doing right so far, so I'm very
pleased with myself. Hopefully, I'll do as well next week! Suzanne and I also cooked a very
nice Valentines meal for each other on Monday and had a nice quiet evening together
with a movie and nice fire. The big news this week... It seems as though I might be working
back at Yahoo! again next week!! I've been talking to an agency and while the pay sucks,
and it's not the job I want...it's still a job. Only a contract position until the end of April, but
there's scope for it turning into a better job. So fingers crossed!

It was Bailey's Birthday dinner on Thursday, so Suzanne and I went to share the evening
with Bailey and her guests at Kyoto Palace. It's a Japanese place that cooks the food in
front of you, very cool. I'd never been to one before, so it was a first for me. I was trying to
remember why I couldn't make it last year, but I guess I was ill. I took Val to the airport
during the day on Thursday, she was heading to Norway to hang out with family and
friends for a week. I wish I was able to head back just like that, but I guess it's going to be
a while before I can do that again. Anyway, this weekend Suzanne and I are going skiing
and will probably stay there and come back sometime on Tuesday. Chris mentioned that
he might try snowboarding with me on Saturday, I'll let you know how it went next week!

Suzanne and her work chums were away at a Sales conference in Palm Springs for a few
days, so on Wednesday I had a bunch of people to collect from the airport. I wish I'd
remembered to clear out the truck, I still had my boots and helmet in their for boarding...
Went out for drinks on Friday which we hadn't done for a while, that was good fun. Then
of course Sunday was the Super bowl. The Patriots won and so did I, people were placing
wagers on what the score would be at the end of each quarter. I ended up getting the
result for the 4th quarter correct. Oh and for those that missed them, here are the Super
bowl ads...
